The Locker keeps your files in your own Google Drive. Here is exactly what it can see, what it keeps, and how to remove it. Last updated November 2, 2026.
In short: your files stay in your Google Drive. The Locker can only reach files it put there, never the rest of your Drive. Nothing is sold, used for ads, or used to train AI.
What The Locker gets from Google
- Your name, email address and profile photo, to show who’s signed in and, in folders you share, who did what.
- Access to the files The Locker creates in your Google Drive (Google calls this “drive.file”). That’s the “The Locker” folder and everything you upload, share or receive through it. It cannot see or change anything else in your Drive.
Where things are kept
- Your files are stored only in your Google Drive. The Locker doesn’t keep copies; it streams them from Drive when you open or download them.
- A small account record on Cloudflare: your name, email, photo address, the Google sign-in key (encrypted), and the folder id of your Locker.
- Settings you make: share links, upload links, who you’ve added to team folders, your favorites order (that one stays on your device), and an activity list for team folders and upload links (who added, renamed, moved or sent what, and when).
- Sign-in sessions: a cookie that keeps you signed in, stored in a scrambled form on our side so it can’t be reused from the server’s records.
- Basic protection counters: how many requests come from each scrambled IP address, used to slow down abuse, kept briefly and deleted automatically.
Who can see your files
- Only you, unless you choose otherwise.
- Share links you turn on: anyone with that link can open what you shared until you turn it off or it expires.
- Upload links you turn on: anyone with that link can send files into that folder. They can’t see what’s already there.
- Team folders: people you add can open (and, if you allow, change) that folder. Their changes are stored in your Drive.
- Google Drive links, if you choose that kind of share link, follow Google’s own sharing.
What The Locker never does
- Sell or rent your information, or use it for advertising.
- Use your files or information to train AI models.
- Read your files except to show, play or send them to you, or to people you share them with.
The Locker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing your information
- Disconnect Google Drive (click your name in the sidebar) ends The Locker’s access to your Drive, signs you out everywhere, and turns off your share links, upload links and team folders. Your files stay in your Google Drive.
- You can also remove access any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- To delete your account record entirely, email elijah@elijahwoods.com. It will be removed promptly, and within 30 days.
Services The Locker uses
- Google for sign-in and file storage (your Google Drive).
- Cloudflare to run the site and keep the small account records above.
Google and Cloudflare also keep their own records of requests (such as IP addresses) under their own privacy policies, which The Locker doesn’t control.
Children
The Locker is a private, invite-only tool and isn’t intended for children under 13.
